Architectural Description: 342 Commercial St. is a 2-1/2-story vernacular Greek Revival-style commercial building; formerly oriented as side-gable structure but now gable end is main entry; gable-front roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, shed dormer on east roof slope, exterior brick chimney on east facade; exterior is clad in wood shingles with wood trim; building sits on a brick foundation; fenestration includes 6/6 DHS replacements with 6/6 DHS window in gable end, Chicago-style window with 4/4 DHS replacement on 2nd story; primary entrance is a corner entry with a simple decorative surround; heavy cornice over the 1st-story storefront, cloth awning shades running windows on storefront; east facade has 1-story shed-roof addition; 2-story rear addition has hipped roof over the 1st story with decorative knee braces.
