Architectural Description: This building is a 2 1/2-story dwelling; 3 bays; The entry door is offset slightly to the left; 2/2 DHS window in the gable end; 6/1 DHS; partial cornice returns and corner boards; a frieze extends below the eaves on the secondary facade; storm doors; storm windows; circa 1970 1-story shed roof entry at left side, set back from front; right side facade contains 6/1 DHS and a secondary entry; Rear facade has a concrete block chimney, 6/6 DHS; Garage and addition are circa 1970
Historical Narrative: As per John D. Bell (1977): "House appears typical of modest multifamily housing built during second half of 19th century and occupied mostly by Portuguese-derived fishermen and their families. Frame construction is sound and functional; interior décor is colorful, comfortable. Modernized 0 especially I kitchen where furnishing show that family life retains custom of eating at kitchen dining-table. Living room is for visiting, TV, etc. Religious: front yard displays small shrine."
