Coast Guard Reports on the S-4 Submarine Disaster

Reports from the Commander In Charge of Wood End Station, and related material on the collision of the C. G. Destroyer and S-4 submarine off Wood End Light on December 17, 1927, a disaster that resulted in the death of all aboard the submerged submarine, despite repeated attempts of rescue before the crew ran out of air.
