Journal of the Schooner E.H. Hatfield of Provincetown, Mass., as kept by Charles F. Keith Commander/Ship's Master. (Part 2) The Journal covers two voyages of the Schooner Hatfield from Provincetown - the first from November 1865 until October 1866, and the second from January 16, 1867 until sometime in the fall of 1868 (the end of the Journal was reached before the end of the voyage). -- Description continued from Part 1. The Journal includes references to numerous other vessels encountered by the Hatfield during its voyages - primarily from the New England area. In addition to the Journal, the History Project files include reference files created by the Transcriber that list the ships encountered, the seamen referenced in the Journal, a listing of sealife encountered - including whales and other sealife - a listing of the latitude and longitude as kept by the Ship's Master, and a listing of whaling and ship terminology found in the Journal.
