Miss Phebe Elizabeth Freeman

Miss Phebe Elizabeth Freeman, born August 20, 1865 in San Francisco, California, moved to Provincetown at age 9 and taught in the Provincetown School system for 46 years. Retired to run a guest house in her home at 165 Commercial Street in the 1940's and 50's, Phebe died on January 15, 1961 at age 96.
