An account of a mermaid seen by Thomas Hilles and Robert Raynor in 1609, both aboard a vessel captained by Capt. Henry Hudson. A second account of a sea serpent seen off Boston on Sept. 28, 1719 by Benjamin Franklin's uncle who bore the same name. 1912 photos of Capt. George Henry Bickers, captain of the Wood End Coast Guard Station, and Albert Burch who succeeded him along with a photo of the station in 1933.
