Historic District Survey information for 8 Bradford St
Architectural Description: 2-story, 6-bay dwelling; this building is a 3-bay, front gable sidehall cottage with a 3-bay side gable ell; A side gable 2nd story and rear addition was added c. 1975; The front facade has a frieze below the side gable eaves, and partial cornice returns at the front gable section; The primary and secondary entrances, located at the ends of the front gable and ell portions, have simple wood frame and entablatures; Windows are 6/1 DHS with storms; The lower sash have varying stained glass designs on the 1st floor; The window in the 2nd story is a multi-pane Chicago-style window with 4/4 DHS; There is also an octagonal window in the ell gable end; The rear roofline is irregular, as is the footprint; The right gable has a shed dormer with 1/6 replacement, 0paired 6-light casements, and 6/6 DHS; 1-story addition across rear with pergola over porch; secondary entries exist.
