Historic District Survey information for 26 Tremont St
Architectural Description: 26 Tremont Street is a 2-story, 5-bay center entry building. The side-gable roof has interior end brick chimneys at each end, partial cornice returns at the gable ends, and a frieze below the eaves. Shed-roof wall dormers across most of the primary and rear facades provide the 2nd full story. The main entry is a panel door with storm, accessed by a concrete block and brick stoop. Windows are wood 2/2 and 6/1 wood DHS. 2/1 DHS are located at the basement level. An exterior stair at the rear and deck around the side provide access to secondary entries at the rear 1st story and west side 2nd story.
