Two newspaper articles, one from February 27, 1964, noting the town's pride for Arctic explorer Donald McMillan and the other dated July 10, 1969 telling of the opening of the library on Freeman St. in 1874 after being built and gifted to the town by local banker Nathan D. Freeman. All the librarians up to 1965 are mentioned by name.
